Qatar Real Estate Forum returns for its 2nd edition on October 13-15 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. Held under the patronage of His H.E Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the premier property event will be co-located with Cityscape Qatar 2024.

Hosted by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) in collaboration with Cityscape organiser Informa Tharawat, the forum aims to elevate Qatar’s standing as a prime destination for real estate investors, by fostering long-term sustainable growth, innovation and forging strategic partnerships.

The upcoming events will gather representatives from government, semi-government and private entities, industry professionals, renowned developers, high net worth buyers and seasoned investors from around the world, providing a unique platform for insights sharing, expertise exchange, disccusing challenges and exploring unparalleled opportunities within the dynamic Qatari real estate market.

This year’s forum will emphasize on enhancing transparency in real estate, accelerating digital transformation and aligning with best international practices to bolster investor trust and streamline procedures. Standards and regulatory rules are expected to be announced as well as a range of initiatives that would contribute to attracting foreign investments to this growing sector will be launched.

The Qatari real estate sector has witnessed significant development in recent years. In H1 2024, the volume of real estate transactions stood at QAR8.16 billion ($2.23 billion) according to Khalid bin Ahmad Al Obaidli, president of the Aqarat. The official made this announcement during a recent press conference, QNA reported.

Qatar established the Aqarat under the Amiri decision No. 28 of 2023, with the objective of stimulating and regulating this vital sector to the national economy, in addition to exploring issues and reviewing the best regional and international relevant experiences that contribute to the advancement of the real estate sector. 

The Middle Eastern country offers a robust economic landscape, world-class infrastructure, strategic legislation and a supportive business environment to further attract international investments.
