CONSTRUCTION
-The number of building permits issued for residential buildings dropped by 18.5% in January 2023 y-o-y data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed.
-The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration Cseke Atilla announced on Wednesday (March 1) that the first 50 projects submitted within the National Programme for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk have been selected for financing.
INSURANCE
In the past three weeks there was an increase by 170% of the number of offers issued for house insurance, compared to the same period of 2022, according to a new analysis made by the National Union of Insurance Companies in Romania (UNSAR).
COMPANIES
-Impact Developer&Contractor, the first real-estate developer in Romania to be listed at the Premium category of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, registered consolidated revenues worth RON210 million in 2022 from the sale of 275 housing units and RON99 million net profit, up 26% y-o-y.
-Bucharest-listed Meta Estate Trust, a holding type company that targets those investors who want to benefit from the returns offered by the Romanian real estate market, announced total revenue of RON21.7 million in 2022, up from RON3.1 million in the previous year and a net profit of RON6.5 million, from a loss of RON2.4 million in 2021.
