RESIDENTIAL

In the first quarter of 2023, the number of apartments sold across Romania was 23% lower y-o-y, according to Colliers. In the Romanian capital Bucharest, 22% fewer apartments were traded.

COMMERCIAL

Unirea Shopping Center which manages a shopping center in Bucharest and one in Brasov reported total turnover of RON57 million in 2022, up 13.5% year-on-year, and RON32 million net profit vs net losses of RON33.5 million in 2021.

HOTELS

Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra, which manages several hotels and restaurants in Romanian seaside resorts, ended 2022 with a turnover of RON45.3 million, the company’s annual financial report published at the Bucharest Stock Exchange reveals.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Bucharest’s new subway line to the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) international airport will be ready in 2027, the general manager of Metrorex, Mariana Miclaus, told Digi24 on Tuesday (May 2).
