COMMERCIAL

The volume of deals with land intended for commercial real estate projects in Romania (excepting the traditional industrial and logistics projects) reached approximately EUR450 million in 2022, lower than EUR800 million in 2021, according to estimates by real estate consulting firm Colliers.

RESIDENTIAL

-Romanian-held real estate developer Alsin Management will invest over EUR40 million in developing First Estates Pipera, (north of Bucharest) the first housing project in Romania set to offer free heating to all its residents, thanks to a complex energy generation system based on heat pumps and solar panels.

-Some 64% of municipality-owned homes are not insured against natural disasters, and 70% of the mayor’s offices did not carry out activities to encourage citizens to take out the mandatory insurance policy, an Infocons survey reveals.

-The Romanian government has approved action plan for implementation of national strategy to rehabilitate buildings.

DEALS

The number of real estate deals in Romania stood at 59,864 last month, 1,795 fewer than in November 2022, according to data from the national cadaster agency ANCPI.
