-Bucharest office developers are readying six new buildings by 2025 with a total area of 139,400 leasable square meters underway, while other buildings with an overall area of 300,000 square meters are in various planning stages, Ziarul Financiar reported.
-The Center – West area (Politehnica, Orhideea, Cotroceni) has become the largest office submarket in Bucharest, outranking for the first time the Floreasca – Barbu Vacarescu area following the delivery of projects in the first quarter of 2023, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
COMPANIES
-One United Properties, a leading green investor and developer of residential, mixed use and office real estate, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, posted consolidated turnover of RON439.5 million in the first quarter of 2023, up 26% y-o-y, and net profit of RON151.7 million, down 9%. The company has signed a pre-sale agreement for One Athénée, a historic building in Bucharest, for EUR24 million, the company said in a report.
–Real estate developer Impact Developer & Contractor reported a net loss of RON8.1 million for the first quarter of 2023, as compared to a profit of RON6 million in the same time interval of 2022, according to the company’s quarterly financial report.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The departure terminal of the Cluj-Napoca International Airport is expanding with three new boarding gates, two for international flights and one for domestic flights, following an EUR 74 million investment.
