HOUSING

Romania’s Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration Cseke Attila signed on Thursday (Jan. 19) 38 new financing contracts worth a total of RON 369,889,052.79 under the “Renovation Wave” programme to increase energy performance of some housing blocks and some public buildings, Agerpres reported.

OFFICE

Companies leased a total of 332,922 square meters of office space in 2022, including new office space leases and contract renegotiations. On an annual basis, demand for new office space was up 13% last year Fortim Trusted Advisors data showed.

RETAIL

Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, advised NEPI Rockcastle, the premier owner and operator of shopping centres in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), on a EUR60 million green financing for Romania’s Ploiesti Shopping City from a syndicate of lenders led by BRD Groupe Société Générale.

HOTEL

Bucharest’s four-star hotel Cismigiu, set in a historical Art Nouveau building built in 1912, ended 2022 with EUR1.5 million turnover and for 2023 has budgeted EUR1.7 million, a level close to the 2019 one, local daily Ziarul Financiar reported.
