The Senate adopted on Wednesday (Oct 12), with 67 votes for and 37 against, the amendments to ordinance 16/2022 by which the tax scale for residential buildings owned by individuals was increased by up to 50%.

CERTIFICATION

Bucharest’s Euro Tower developed by Cascade Group has officially become the first LEED Zero Carbon certified building in Romania.

COMPANIES

-Bucharest-listed One United Properties obtained the building permit for Phase 2 of One Mamaia Nord, a project under development on the Romanian seaside.

-Local real estate platform Storia.ro has launched the T.R.A.I. index, which is designed to measure the major welfare indicators in cities and neighborhoods in Romania aiming to facilitate would-be homeowners or renters in their decisions.

-Global Vision and Globalworth Industrial, Globalworth’s logistics and industrial sub-brand, are expanding their joint portfolio with Mures City Logistics, an industrial and logistics project with a total land area of 37,900 sqm in the Romanian city of Târgu Mureș. Globalworth is the leading real estate company in Central and Eastern Europe with a focus on Poland and Romania.

-OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy company in South-Eastern Europe, will invest approximately EUR 130 million in the next 3 years to build a new unit of aromatic (gasoline, toluene) products at Petrobrazi refinery- the sole Romanian refinery that can produce gasoline at European standards. The unit will function at modern BAT (Best Available Technology) operating standards with low environmental impact.
