CONSTRUCTION

A quarter of Romanian companies in constructions bring Asian employees, since most Romanian workers work abroad, according to a study by IBC Focus. Only 37% of important builders declare that they are now handling employments through recruiting only from the Romanian market. In Romania, there are over 400,000 construction workers, while in Europe, there are over 700,000 Romanians active in this field, according to the Federation of Employers of Construction Societies.

-The Romanian subsidiary of US technology giant Google opened a new office in downtown Bucharest. The new space is located in the Unirii View building.

-Bucharest’s SkyTower, the tallest office building in Romania, with a height of 137 meters and 37 floors, owned and managed by Raiffeisen Property Holding International (RPHI), reaches almost 100% occupancy rate and accomplishes ten years of successful activity on the local market.

INVESTMENT

GTC real estate company has completed the City Gate Complex refurbishment project, following an investment of EUR 3.5 million. The project started in 2021 and targeted two major directions for investment and implementation: common and leasable areas. The City Gate Complex includes two tower buildings (ground floor + 18 floors), located in ​​Piața Presei Libere area, and has a total leasable space of ​​47,700 square meters.
