HOTELS
-Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra, which manages 11 hotels and restaurants in Romania’s seaside resorts, reported a net loss of RON6.8 million for January-September 2022, from a profit of RON8.9 million in the same period a year ago, Ziarul Financiar reported on Wednesday (Nov. 9).
-Local hotel company Ana Hotels, operating Athenee Palace Hilton and Crowne Plaza hotels in Bucharest, but also seaside and Poiana Brasov hotels, will reach 91% of 2019 turnover this year.
CONSTRUCTION
-Romania’s Energy Minister Virgil Popescu received on Wednesday, during a visit to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from the President of US Exim Bank, Reta Jo Lewis, the letters of intent for two loans worth $50 million and $3 billion, respectively, for the construction of two new reactors at Romania’s Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, Agerpres reported.
-Poland’s property investment company Scallier, started on the construction of an 8500 square metres (GLA) retail park in Mosnita, Romania. Scallier is specialised in investment management in the sector of retail parks, regional galleries, arcades and free-standing commercial facilities.
