BULGARIA

Construction output in Bulgaria increased 2.80% in April of 2024 over the same month in the previous year, according to new statistics put out by the National Statistical Institute (NSI). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output declined 0.7% in April, slipping further from a revised 0.4% fall in the prior period.

CROATIA

The average price of purchased arable land in Croatia in 2023 amounted to 4 440 euro per hectare, of meadows to 2 464
euro per hectare and of pastures to 3 102 euro per hectare, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said.

GREECE

Lamda Development, the leader in the retail real estate sector in Greece, announced the sale of 2% of its own shares to Zepco, a company owned by Greek shipping tycoon George Prokopiou, founder of Dynacom Tankers Management. The deal between Lamda and Prokopiou took place at a price of 7.10 euros, with the shipowner paying a premium of 0.60 euros/share compared to the current share price on the Athens Stock Exchange (6.5 euros).

NORTH MACEDONIA

The number of building permits issued in North Macedonia fell 22.1% to 257 in April on an annual basis, according to the country’s statistical office.

SERBIA

In April 2024, the number of 2723 building permits was issued, presenting the increase of 38.1% when compared to April 2023, Serbia’s statistical office said. Out of the total number of permits issued in April 2024, 80.8% related to buildings, and 19.2% to civil engineering constructions
