BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb Republic issued 245 construction permits last month, up 35.4% on an annual basis, the entity’s statistical office said. The country comprises two autonomous entities – the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska (Serb Republic).

CROATIA

Croatia’s construction output increased by 17.7% in August on an annual basis, after rising by 17.2% in July, the statistical office said citing preliminary working-day adjusted data. On a seasonally- and working day-adjusted monthly comparison basis, construction output grew by 1% in August, following a rise of 5.1% in July.

CYPRUS

Between January and September 14,074 transfers valued at €3.1 billion were completed in Cyprus with 11,634 sale contracts deposited at Land Registry offices, according to figures from the Department of Lands and Surveys. In terms of sale contracts, Limassol had the highest volume (3,691), followed by Nicosia (2,593) and Larnaca (2,497).

GREECE

Tax revenues from short-term rentals are expected to reach 830 million euros by the end of 2024, posting a significant increase from previous years, the head of Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) Giorgos Pitsilis told the 25th Prodexpo real estate conference on Tuesday (Oct. 24).

ROMANIA

Romania’s construction sector reached record highs in 2023 and 2024 amid strong private demand for certain property segments and a significant increase in public investments, but 2025 is expected to be challenging, according to an analysis by Colliers regarding the evolution of the real estate market in the first six months of 2024.

SLOVENIA

The investment market in Slovenia during the first half of 2024 has been largely driven by the retail sector, which leads in terms of deal volume, according to Colliers. Investors are seeking liquidity and capital deployment. The most recent trend is a rise of sale and leaseback transactions.
